Meet The Team

Lauren joined our dental practice in Raleigh, NC, in October 2025. She has been working in the dental field for over 10 years, taking care of day-to-day dental front office procedures. She has extensive training in and proficiency in dental administration and insurance. Lauren is a proud member of the American Association of Dental Office Management. She is also a local member of the AADOM Triangle Chapter. Originally a Johnston County native, Lauren and her fiancé Alex now live in Garner. When Lauren is not working, she enjoys reading true crime novels and devoting time to her 3 cats, Hallie, Dragur, and Snickers.

My name is Raquel, though many people know me as Rocky. I am a dedicated dental assistant with over 16 years of experience providing compassionate patient care and supporting dental teams in delivering exceptional treatment.

I began my dental career after completing my Dental Assisting Program in California in 2004. Over the years, I developed a strong passion for helping patients feel comfortable, informed, and confident throughout their dental experience.

In 2013, I took a seven-year break from dentistry to pursue another passion: health and fitness. During that time, I returned to school and earned my Personal Trainer Certification, helping others improve their health and wellness while continuing to grow personally and professionally.

In 2020, I returned to the dental field with a renewed appreciation for patient care and the positive impact a caring dental team can have on someone’s life. In 2021, I relocated to North Carolina, where I continue to serve patients with professionalism, attention to detail, and a genuine commitment to creating positive dental experiences.

Outside of the office, I enjoy staying active through fitness and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Through years of dedication and training, I earned the rank of Black Belt. The discipline, perseverance, and continuous learning required in martial arts are qualities I bring with me every day in my dental career.

Whether assisting during procedures, helping patients feel at ease, or supporting the success of the dental team, my goal is always the same: to provide outstanding care and help every patient leave with a healthier smile and a positive experience.

Sonya Baer is a dedicated and compassionate dental assistantwith 33 years of experience providing exceptional patient care. She began herdental career in the U.S. Army, where she received extensive training anddeveloped a strong foundation in clinical excellence, discipline, andpatient-focused care. After completing her military service, she continued hereducation at the University of Florida, further expanding her knowledge andskills in dentistry. Throughout her career, Sonya has been committed to helpingpatients feel comfortable and confident during their dental visits. She enjoysbuilding lasting relationships with patients while working closely with thedental team to deliver high-quality care. Her extensive experience assistingwith a wide range of dental procedures, combined with her calm demeanor andattention to detail, allows her to provide outstanding support in every aspectof patient care. Known for her professionalism, compassion, and dedication,Sonya takes pride in creating a welcoming environment where patients feelvalued and cared for. After more than three decades in the dental field, sheremains passionate about dentistry and committed to making a positivedifference in the lives of her patients every day. Outside of the office, Sonyaenjoys spending quality time with her family and friends, playing cornhole, andexpressing her creativity through writing and drawing. She believes that therelationships she builds—both professionally and personally—are among life'sgreatest rewards.

Carolyn has been helping patients care for their smiles for more than 40 years as a Registered Dental Hygienist. Known for her gentle touch, compassionate nature, and genuine concern for her patients, she strives to make every visit a comfortable and positive experience. Carolyn is passionate about preventive dental care and enjoys educating patients so they can feel confident about their oral health.

When she’s not in the office, Carolyn enjoys spending quality time with her husband, children, and grandson. She has a creative spirit and loves creating artwork, as well as spending time outdoors walking, hiking, and enjoying nature. She also enjoys antiquing and metal detecting, preserving pieces of history along the way.

Valerie Conant is a licensed dental hygienist who graduatedfrom dental hygiene school in 2012. With more than a decade of experience inthe field, Valerie brings a calm, thoughtful approach to patient care rooted ina patient-centered philosophy. She believes in meeting patients where they are,taking the time to listen, and creating a comfortable, supportive environmentthat promotes long-term oral health.

Valerie relocated to North Carolina, from West Virginia, in2022 and is proud to serve her local community. When she’s not in the office,she enjoys spending time with her husband and their two daughters. Outside ofwork, her favorite activities include walking, riding bikes, and thriftshopping.

Paige is a dedicated dental professional with over 20 years of experience. She is passionate about helping patients feel comfortable and confident. She is known for her compassionate approach, attention to detail, and commitment to providing exceptional care.

Outside of the office, Paige enjoys spending time with her husband, cheering on her boys at their sporting events, and serving as a worship leader at her church. She strives to make every patient experience welcoming, positive, and personalized.
